Auditions for A Charlie Brown Christmas
Directed by Kevin and Erin Green
December 7 - 16
Plot: When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to discover the real meaning of Christmas.
AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 15th. Please prepare a 1 minute song. You will be assigned a 10 minute audition slot when you sign up. You may choose a preferred time, but they will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin in October. Rehearsal days and times will be announced soon. Depending on the role, certain actors may not be called for every rehearsal.
CONFLICTS: Conflicts are allowed up until two weeks before the production opens. Auditionees should bring their schedule with them to auditions and list all conflicts on the audition form. Conflicts can factor into casting so it is important that all conflicts are listed on the audition form. This is especially important if you are in the Fort Bragg or Mendocino Choirs, as they will have concerts around this time.
PERFORMANCES: December 7 - 16. Friday – Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 3:00. 6 performances.
AUDITION LOCATION: Eagles Hall, 210 N Corry, Fort Bragg, CA
CASTING: This is a Young Performers production. We are looking to cast up to age 13.
PARENT'S NOTE: During the week leading up to the show opening actors are required to be at the theatre for all rehearsals. Typically these rehearsals will be longer and later than the rest of rehearsals, sometimes going until 9pm. Please keep this in mind when auditioning.
